50,000 to take common entrance test for Delhi polytechnics


The Department of Training and Technical Education, Delhi, will conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission in government, government-aided and private polytechnics for various engineering and non engineering diploma courses on Sunday. More than 50,000 candidates will appear for the tests in 119 examination centres across Delhi. 

For the diploma in engineering and non-engineering courses, the entrance test will be conducted tomorrow from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm whereas the entrance test for diploma in modern office practice in English and diploma in pharmacy will be conducted from 1.30 am to 4.00 pm. 

"The Directorate of Training and Technical Education is entrusted with the responsibility of providing trained technical manpower for the technological up-gradation of industrial production, services, productivity and innovation, contributing to the planned growth of the capital's economy," says a statement issued by the government. 

The successful candidates would be admitted in the Institute of Basic Business Studies, Ambedkar Polytechnic, Aryabhat Polytechnic, Bhai Paramanand Institute of Business Studies, Meera Bai Institute of Technology, Pusa Polytechnic, Kasturba Polytechnic, Integrated Institute of Technology and GB Pant Polytechnic manned by Department of Training and Technical Education.
